Week_6_Fireworks_Safety

 

Stay safe this 4th of July with the following fireworks safety tips: 

 

  • Never allow young children to play with or ignite fireworks, including sparklers. Sparklers burn at temperatures of about 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit—hot enough to melt some metals. 
  • Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy, in case of fire or other mishap. 
  • Make sure fireworks are legal in your area and only purchase and set off fireworks that are labeled for consumer (not professional) use. 
  • Never use fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs. 
  • Light fireworks one at a time, then move back quickly. 
  • Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully. 
  • Follow all instructions and warnings on fireworks and never hold them in hand unless instructions specify to do so. 
  • Keep pets indoors – loud noises cause panic and injuries. 

Manténgase seguro este 4 de Julio con los siguientes consejos de seguridad para fuegos artificiales: 

  • Nunca permita que los niños pequeños jueguen con fuegos artificiales ni losenciendan,                                            incluidas las bengalas. Las bengalas arden a temperaturas de aproximadamente 2,000 grados Fahrenheit, lo suficientemente caliente como para derretir algunos metales. 
  • Tenga a mano un cubo de agua o una manguera de jardín en caso de incendioootro    percance. 
  • Asegúrese de que los fuegos artificiales sean legales en su zona y compre y encienda únicamente aquellos etiquetados para uso del consumidor (no profesional).
  • Nunca utilice fuegos artificiales si se encuentra bajo los efectos del alcohol o las drogas.
  • Encienda los fuegos artificiales uno a la vez y, acto seguido, aléjese rápidamente.
  • Nunca intente volver a encender ni recoger fuegos artificiales que no se hayan encendido por completo.
