The Student Success Center + Student Union project marked a major milestone with a topping out celebration on the jobsite! Around 500 people attended the event to celebrate progress on the 380,000-square foot facility – which, once complete, will be the largest structure on campus – and add their signatures to steel beams that will be placed into the building’s frame. 

 

UT Dallas leadership, including President Dr. Prabhas V. Moghe, joined the celebration along with our SpawGlass-North Texas team, representatives from the project’s design and engineering teams and the many dedicated trade partners who have been working tirelessly to bring this project to life. 

 

The celebration honored the teamwork that has gone into the creation of the new facility, which will consolidate various student services and provide academic spaces, including a 400-seat round “rotunda” lecture hall. With the frame now complete, our team is moving forward with installation of the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as well as placing the first sections of the exterior precast concrete façade.
