There’s a whole lot happening at the new Student Success Center + Student Union!

 

All structural concrete has been poured, vertical steelwork is moving quickly and we can see our topping out milestone just on the horizon!

 

The building’s utility tunnel is nearly complete, with the final concrete to be poured in the next few days, and an opening cut to connect the existing tunnel with the new one. You may also notice the tall exterior elevator (called a buck hoist) now in place to help move materials and people during construction.

 

Inside the building, masonry work in the basement is nearly finished. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) inspections are wrapping up in the basement and first two levels, and wiring is being pulled for lighting installation in the basement. Decking is underway for the basement mezzanine and first level.
