Things are moving fast at the UTD Student Success Center and Student Union site, and there’s plenty of exciting progress to share!

 

All slab-on-grade concrete pours are complete, and we’ve made great strides on the upper floors with several major pours finished and more on the way. Inside the building, crews are busy installing overhead mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems on the basement and first levels. Walls are beginning to visibly take shape as framing and masonry work kicks off.

Another big milestone: soil retention and excavation have begun for the new utility tunnel, and structural steel deliveries are rolling in with installation starting soon.

 

This month, our team also hit pause to focus on safety during Construction Safety Week. We held a Safety Stand-Down and hosted hands-on training and presentations with a focus on fall safety to reinforce our commitment to keeping everyone safe on the job.
