Construction Update 03/05/2025

It’s been a busy month at the UTD Student Success Center + Student Union project!

 

Despite February’s cold and rainy weather and cleanup from this week’s storm, the team has pushed forward to stay on schedule. All underground electrical and plumbing work is now complete, allowing us to focus on concrete work in various areas, including pouring grade beams for level one slab-on-grade areas and multiple elevated pours on level two.

 

Upcoming concrete work to be completed in March includes the basement ramp, elevated slab work on level three, and continued work on levels one and two.

The jobsite has also had some very special visitors! The SpawGlass-North Texas team and Project Control welcomed CMAA North Texas Chapter’s Young Leaders to tour the site, giving the group a thorough explanation of the project and answering questions about our construction process.

The following week, SpawGlass Master Builders visited the site for their quarterly event. Our Master Builders hold these events to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with team members who are on the superintendent career path and aspire to achieve the Master Builder designation down the road. These collaborative sessions are always a great way to exchange ideas and help set our teams up for success!
