Our SpawGlass-North Texas team is in the trenches – literally! – completing the excavation for the Student Success Center + Student Union at The University of Texas at Dallas! After completing the demolition of the Cecil and Ida Green Center and parking lot, our team dug in to start excavation of the existing foundation and moisture-conditioning of the soil to prepare the site for the new slab on grade foundation. Early summer storms brought heavy rainfall, requiring extra efforts to clear floodwaters and debris, but our team was up for the challenge! In the next few weeks, we’ll position the tower crane and prepare the site for concrete, plumbing and underground electrical installation.
