DIGITAL SAFETY
SpawGlass takes the safety of our team members, clients and business partners seriously, both on and off the jobsite. With the continued rise of email-based attacks, it is important to be aware of how to defeat common attacks that may impact your organization.
SpawGlass has witnessed recent phishing email scams from hackers attempting to infect, redirect payments or collect sensitive information from our clients and partners by way of a spoofed/lookalike email (see screenshot).

For All Individuals:
Always confirm any unexpected requests contained in an email by verifying with the sender using a number you already have on file. You cannot verify a request made in an email using information contained in that email.
If you do not have a number on file you can confirm with SpawGlass directly by using the numbers listed on the Contact page of our website.

For Security Teams:
One of the best ways to block these messages is to ensure your IT department, IT service provider or email provider has an antispam feature called Sender Policy Framework (SPF) checking enabled. SPF helps prevent fake emails appearing to come from SpawGlass.com from reaching your organization.
In addition to SPF, implementing DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC) will further enhance your email security. These protocols work together to authenticate legitimate emails and reject fraudulent ones.
We also highly recommend you protect all of your accounts with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring not only a password and username but also something that you possess (like a generated keycode, hardware token, etc.)
If your IT department or service provider has any questions, they can contact us at [email protected], and we will be glad to assist. Thank you.
